Job Overview A leading international logistics company in the Netherlands needs experienced and responsible Truck Drivers. In this role, you will transport goods across the Netherlands and into neighboring European countries. You will be the face of the company on the road, ensuring safe, compliant, and timely delivery of cargo while maintaining accurate travel logs and vehicle standards.
Key Duties Include
Transporting finished goods and raw materials safely over long distances.
Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues before and after trips.
Planning routes based on delivery schedules, traffic, and weather conditions.
Detailed Responsibilities
Drive heavy trucks (articulated lorries) to deliver goods to customers and distribution centers.
Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment or supervise loading to ensure weight distribution.
Record cargo deliveries, verify load documents, and obtain customer signatures.
Refuel the vehicle and keep the cabin clean and professional.
Follow all applicable traffic laws, rest period regulations (tachograph), and company policies.
Perform basic roadside repairs (e.g., changing lights) and report major mechanical issues.
Keep a detailed activities log and log hours strictly to comply with EU driving laws.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delays or route changes.
Requirements & skills
Proven work experience as a Truck Driver with a valid CE license.
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly, including overnight stays.
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
Clean driving record with no recent moving violations.
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations on the road.
Valid Code 95 certification and digital tachograph card.
