Job Overview Join a leading European infrastructure firm in Sweden as a Civil Engineer. We are looking for a visionary engineer to design, plan, and supervise large-scale construction projects such as roads, bridges, and public utilities. You will manage the project lifecycle from conception to completion, ensuring that all work is carried out safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with Sweden’s strict environmental and building regulations.
Key Duties Include
Designing and overseeing complex construction projects, ensuring engineering excellence.
Analyzing survey reports, maps, and data to ensure structural integrity and project feasibility.
Managing multi-million Euro budgets, resources, and strict project timelines.
Detailed Responsibilities
Undertake technical and feasibility studies including site investigations.
Use advanced design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit) to create detailed blueprints and models.
Assess the environmental impact and risks of projects, proposing sustainable solutions.
Oversee, mentor, and direct construction staff, and liaise with specialized subcontractors.
Ensure all site activities meet legal guidelines, health and safety requirements, and quality standards.
Monitor project progress, resolve design issues on-site, and handle any unexpected challenges.
Compile job specifications and supervise the tendering process for materials and services.
Report on project status to stakeholders and government bodies.
Requirements & skills
Proven working experience in civil engineering with a portfolio of completed infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, and erosion control.
Strong knowledge of design and visualization software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
Excellent project management and supervision skills.
BS/MA in Civil Engineering; a Professional Engineer (PE) license is a strong plus.
Fluency in English is required.
